Oil Pastel Process Video

My agenda to get other people into oil pastel continues
2

I got some interest a little while ago for some kind of tutorial/process video for working with oil pastel. I wasn’t sure the best way to go about it, photos don’t convey all the information and I don’t have a mic for doing voice over. I decided to give video and captions a shot and got some footage on my phone from when I was sketching last week.

I tried to add as much info as I could without making it too wordy, hopefully it’s enough to understand what’s going on. Most creative mediums can’t be fully understood without trying it hands on, so think of this more as a suggestion of techniques to try yourself :)

It would be fun to film an illustration from start to finish, preferably one that’s a bit more planned out so the composition is better than this one haha. I learned a lot about editing in Premier Pro while making this video so I can definitely see myself making more in the future!
